MSGM Pre-Fall 2026, Men’s Fall 2026 Ready to Wear Collection Review

“Silence! Silence! Silence!” was the triple statement printed in the lining of a women’s blazer or subtly embroidered on a slim tie in Massimo Giorgetti’s latest effort at MSGM.

“It’s a plea for help,” joked the brand’s founder during a walk-through of the women’s pre-fall 2026 and men’s fall 2026 lines. Truth is that the motto came as a natural reaction to the world’s noise, overflow of disheartening news and visual bombardment on social media.

Narrowed down to his area of expertise, Giorgetti’s antidote to the mayhem in the fashion sphere across creative changes, consumption slowdown and retail havoc is to focus on clarity in design and embrace a razor-sharp, pragmatic approach to product, trying to balance “quality, price point, attention to details and real function” more than ever.

While keeping true to the youthful spirit of his brand, Giorgetti evolved his preppy fashion in a more mature direction, silencing the neon hues of the MSGM of yore and letting textures do the talking.

Dark tweeds, compact wool felt, heavy wool twill, mohair, supple eco leather and astrakhan-like eco fur mingled in the collection and added heft and richness to Giorgetti’s go-to unfussy pieces in poplin — here given a refresh in silver laminated versions in shirts and pleated skirts.

Hourglass-shaped dresses, puffy tops and miniskirts all cut from gold brocade and color-blocked taffeta dresses also sat on the sparkier spectrum of the lineup, offsetting the everyday vibe of long trenchcoats lined with prints of imaginary MSGM crests and girly ruched poplin separates covered in florals.

Mainly sharing the women’s codes, menswear additionally relied on fluid pajama sets in regimental stripes and some interesting introductions in tailoring, including regimental cropped double-breasted jackets. Waistcoats, cardigans and the profusion of argyle patterns across both ranges further spoke of the lineup’s preppy inclination.
