Paul McCartney: Man on the Run Doc Trailer

“I’m going to make the best record you’ve ever heard… People thought we were totally crazy, but that was our way.” Prime Video has launched the official trailer for the documentary film titled Paul McCartney: Man on the Run, another new Beatles documentary – though this isn’t really about them, it’s about what happened after The Beatles. This premiered at the 2025 Telluride Film Festival last fall and will be out to watch in late February this winter. Man on the Run is a film made by acclaimed, Oscar-winning doc director Morgan Neville (of 20 Feet from Stardom, Best of Enemies, Keith Richards: Under the Influence, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead). After The Beatles break up (in 1970), McCartney forms new band called Wings with his wife Linda. Archival home footage shows Paul’s life with Linda, who influenced his music, as well as his experiences after The Beatles fame. This lively doc follows Wings from formation through 1970s during which Paul wrote hit songs. The description says the film “captures Paul’s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens.” Yep this looks great! Also seems like a reflection on how to deal with a life after The Beatles and what it means to keep on rockin’ your own way. 🤘
