The first 2026 release from Connecticut hardcore label DAZE is on the poppy side, and I’m ready to offer my endorsement.
“Be Your Anchor” comes from Dream Fatigue, a Salem, MA band who are injecting Paramore-style emo theatrics into today’s prevalent grunge/shoegaze style. The two-minute track is sleeker, catchier, and more dynamic than the material on Dream Fatigue’s 2024 EP, and it portends big things for the band this year — one of those things being a new EP on DAZE, which says “Be Your Anchor” is “FOR FANS OF HUM.. INCUBUS AND THURSDAY.”
