“Don’t trust your team. They’re lying to you.” Electric Ent. has unveiled the official trailer for a sci-fi indie film titled The Bunker, finally getting released this year. The Bunker has been in the works for years. The film was inspired by the 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns and principal photography took place back in May 2021 in Los Angeles. This premiered at FrightFest in 2024 and is now releasing to watch on VOD. Earth faces an unprecedented new threat as mysterious alien ships appear in the sky. Dr. Michelle Riley, a micropathogen specialist, is sealed in an underground bunker, tasked with developing a biological weapon to combat the extraterrestrial invaders. A suspenseful sci-fi thriller set in a strange underground facility where survival, technology & big secrets collide. Chelsea Edmundson stars as Dr. Riley, with Chad Michael Collins, Tobin Bell, Christopher Matthew Cook, Cullen Douglas, Debbie Fan, Sharif Ibrahim, plus the late Tony Todd (RIP) as Frank Lawrence, and army commander for the White House. This reminds me of that bad War of the Worlds at first glance, especially ripping off that Alien sound n this trailer. Check it out.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Brian Hanson’s sci-fi film The Bunker, direct from YouTube:

When mysterious alien ships appear in the sky, a scientist is sealed in an underground bunker and must create a bio-weapon to stop the unknown visitors, but paranoia and isolation cause her to question the true intention of her mission. As tensions rise inside the bunker, a group of survivors must confront an unknown threat while uncovering the truth behind the facility and the experiments taking place within it. This new sci-fi movie blends psychological tension, futuristic technology, intense cinematic storytelling. The Bunker is directed by indie genre filmmaker Brian Hanson, director of the film The Black String and eps of the horror series “Night Visions” previously. The screenplay is written by Charles L. Bunce and Brian Hanson. Produced by Charles L. Bunce, Kayli Fortun, Brian Hanson, Aaron B. Koontz, & Kelby Thwaits. The film initially premiered at FrightFest 2024 in the UK. Electric Entertainment debuts Hanson’s The Bunker sci-fi movie in select US theaters + on VOD coming up this spring. Is anyone interested in watching this? 🛸
