The end of “The Boys” is almost here, and from the looks of things the series will not be going out quietly. The official trailer for the fifth and final season of the hit Prime Video superhero satire has arrived, bringing with it promises of incredible violence and mayhem. The megalomaniacal supe Homelander (Antony Starr) has decided to try and make himself completely invincible and essentially a god, which would be bad for basically everyone besides him.
Meanwhile, the Boys themselves have teamed up with the surviving rebels from Godolkin University, whose experiences on “Gen V” have helped lead them to this grand battle against Homelander. No one is safe and it’s pretty likely major characters are going to die, but it simply wouldn’t be “The Boys” without an explosive ending, would it?
