3 Prime Video Shows You Need to Binge This Weekend

Just one weekend in 2025 remains, and what a year we have had for television. From breakout hits such as Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne‘s Adolescence and HBO’s hilarious The Chair Company to returning favorites in the critically acclaimed Andor and Julian FellowesThe Gilded Age, there has rarely been a quiet minute on the small screen. Right now, two of the biggest returning titles are topping the streaming charts around the world, with the Duffer Brothers-created sci-fi smash Stranger Things and the Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell-led Fallout dominating our watchlists. So, to help you decide what else you should watch over the next three days, here’s a look at three Prime Video shows you need to binge this weekend.

‘The Outlaws’ (2021–Present)

Rotten Tomatoes: 86% | IMDb: 7.7/10

For a dramedy thriller with all the mystery trimmings to keep you hooked this weekend, why not try The Outlaws? Created by Stephen Merchant of The Office fame, the series follows seven completely different strangers who, all for different reasons, find themselves together doing community service. However, when the group becomes wrapped up in the troubled world of one of their own, an unexpected life of crime follows.

Boasting a superb central cast, including the aforementioned Merchant, Rhianne Beretto, Eleanor Tomlinson, Clare Perkins, Baby Reindeer‘s Jessica Gunning, and even Hollywood icon Christopher Walken, The Outlaws is a surprise gem hailing from Bristol in the U.K. Packed with twists and turns sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, plus plenty of comedic beats to help alleviate the tension, The Outlaws is well worth your time.

‘The Nanny’ (1993–1999)

Rotten Tomatoes: 71% | IMDb: 7.2/10

At a time when we begin reflecting on the year that has passed, capitalize on that nostalgia with this classic ’90s sitcom. The Nanny follows the well-dressed life of fashionista Fran Fine (Fran Drescher), a woman dumped by her boyfriend and sacked from her job, who becomes the unlikely, unorthodox nanny to the three children of Maxwell Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy), a wealthy, widowed Broadway producer.

Featuring plenty of iconic characters, moments, and Fran Fine outfits, The Nanny is a beloved sitcom that has perhaps fallen under the radar of some. From smart humor to sidesplitting slapstick, there is rarely a moment you won’t be smiling from ear to ear while watching The Nanny, even considering its 145 total episodes over six Primetime Emmy-winning seasons.

1

‘The Peripheral’ (2022)

Rotten Tomatoes: 79% | IMDb: 7.5/10

One of the most underrated sci-fi options currently on Prime Video, Scott B. Smith‘s The Peripheral, loosely inspired by William Gibson’s 2014 novel, follows Chloë Grace Moretz‘s young 2032 VR gamer Flynne, who, after receiving a prototype virtual reality headset, discovers a dark alternate reality with sinister consequences.

A clever, inventive series featuring a stellar lead performance by Moretz, The Peripheral might not have previously been on your watchlist, but you won’t regret checking it out. What’s more, with just eight gripping episodes available, this makes for a perfect weekend binge-watch to help you overcome those post-Christmas blues.
