what happens to Simon and Trevor?

Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues with new TV series Wonder Man.

Created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, the series follows struggling actors Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery, who portrayed the Mandarin in Iron Man 3, as they try and land roles in the remake of a superhero film called Wonder Man.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley lead the show’s cast, alongside X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Arian Moayed, Joe Pantoliano, Byron Bowers and Josh Gad.

All eight episodes of Wonder Man arrived on Disney+ on January 27, 2026.

After Trevor (Ben Kingsley) takes the blame for the explosion on the set of Wonder Man, Simon (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) continues production on the film, with a new actor taking on the role of Barnaby.

The success of Wonder Man catapults Simon to the life of his dreams, with talk of a sequel following the premiere. However, he doesn’t forget about Trevor, who has been imprisoned by the Department Of Damage Control (DODC).

Simon meets a man named Chuck Eastman (Blake Robbins), who’s the subject of his next movie project. We soon discover Chuck is a security guard at the DODC facility, and grants Simon access to the building dressed in security garb. Later, Simon overhears agents discussing his ionic superpowers, where he’s described as potentially being an ‘extraordinary threat’ or an ‘asset’.

After he breaks away from Chuck, Simon wanders the facility and finds Trevor locked in a cell. The pair reconcile, and Simon uses his ionic powers to rip off the bars to save Trevor. As the alarms blare out, Simon uses his powers to blast open the roof and fly up into the sky with Trevor, leaving a massive hole in the ceiling.

Is there a post-credits scene?

Unlike the rest of Marvel’s on-screen output, Wonder Man doesn’t have any post-credits scene. Instead, it leaves the fate of Simon and Trevor, along with any connections to the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe, largely ambiguous.
