All the Characters on Netflix Show

Luke Thompson plays Benedict Bridgerton, the second-eldest Bridgerton brother who, after first being introduced to audiences in Season 1,  is now taking center stage as Season 4’s leading man. While he’s been reluctant to settle down in the past, it’s love at first sight when he spots the mysterious Lady in Silver at the masquerade ball, who, unbeknownst to him, is Sophie Baek, a maid. Thompson has previously appeared on screen in “In the Club” and “Transatlantic,” and was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for his role in the 2024 play “A Little Life.”  

A newcomer to the “Bridgerton” universe, Yerin Ha is the starlet of Season 4 and the romantic interest of Benedict Bridgerton. She plays the resourceful maid Sophie Baek, who works for Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung). Ha makes her series debut in the premiere episode of the fourth season, where she catches the eye of Benedict at the masquerade ball while dressed as the Lady in Silver, beginning their love affair. Ha’s past television credits include “The Survivors,” “Dune: Prophecy” and “Halo.” 

Jonathan Bailey is back as the fan-favorite Anthony Bridgerton, who first captivated audiences with his yearning-filled, enemies-to-lovers journey with Kate (formerly Sharma) Bridgerton in Season 2. The last viewers saw of the eldest Bridgerton, he and Kate appear to be happily married in Season 3. While the English-actor might best be known for stepping into the role of Fiyero in “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good,” the star has a long list of credits that include “Jurassic World Rebirth” and “Fellow Travelers.” 

Simone Ashley first graced viewers’ screens as Kate Sharma in the show’s pining-filled second season, which focused on the romance between her and Anthony Bridgerton. In the finale, the two cemented their love and got married, and fans got more of the couple’s life as newlyweds in Season 3. Now, she’s back for Season 4. Ashley’s past credits include “Sex Education” and she is also set to have an appearance in the forthcoming “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”

Luke Newton returns as Colin Bridgerton, third-born son of the Bridgerton household. Season 3 focused on Colin’s romance with family friend Penelope Featherington, and the season ended with the birth of the couple’s child. Newton has been on the show since its first season in 2020 and also appeared on British musical drama “The Lodge.”

Nicola Coughlan returns as Penelope Featherington, who took center stage in Season 3 when she publicly revealed herself as Lady Whistledown and finally won the heart of Colin Bridgerton. The Irish actress is perhaps best known for playing the lovable Clare Devlin in Channel 4’s hit sitcom “Derry Girls,” though her portrayal of Penelope earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Season 3. Coughlan recently added to her accolades with a Best Comedy Performance win at the 2025 TV Choice Awards for her role as Maggie in Channel 4’s “Big Mood,” which also garnered her a BAFTA Television Award nomination.

Violet Bridgerton played by Ruth Gemmell is most known for tirelessly wrangling her unwed children toward suitable matches. In Season 3, the family matriarch finds herself confronting the possibility of a romance of her own with Lord Marcus Anderson. A veteran of British stage and screen, Gemmell is known for her work in “EastEnders,” “Utopia,” and “Home Fires,” bringing emotional depth and gentle authority to the beloved role.

Florence Hunt is back as the youngest Bridgerton, Hyacinth, who comes into her own in Season 4 with mischievous charm and a keen eagerness to enter society despite her young age. Already showing a maturity and poise that rivals her older siblings, she continues to steal scenes with her wit and adventurous spirit. The English actress has also appeared in Netflix’s “Mixtape.”

Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton is the fiercely independent fifth sibling whose curiosity and rebellious nature have made her a fan favorite. Her playful banter with brother Benedict has long delighted audiences, and while this season centers on Benedict’s own love story, Eloise continues to captivate with her intelligence, humor and unwavering loyalty to her family. The English actress has also appeared in “Toxic Town,” “Vanity Fair” and “Dixi.”

The youngest son in the family, Gregory Bridgerton has been played by young actor Will Tilston since Season 1. The second youngest child overall, Gregory is often seen causing mischief with his sister Hyacinth and interacting with his older siblings. Tilston began his career in “Goodbye Christopher Robin,” playing the titular role as a child.

Golda Rosheuvel’s character Queen Charlotte continues to reign over the Ton for a fourth season. As Queen of the United Kingdom, Charlotte often takes an interest in her subjects and their love lives, in addition to uncovering Lady Whistledown’s identity. Rosheuvel reprised her role in “Bridgerton” prequel series, “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.”

“Harry Potter” alum Katie Leung will star as Lady Araminta Gun, the wicked stepmother of this season’s female lead, Sophie Baek. The Scottish actress is also known for her roles as Caitlyn Kiramman in Netflix’s animated series “Arcane” and Ash in the sci-fi series “The Peripheral.”

It wouldn’t be “Bridgerton” without the regal voiceover of Lady Danbury, and this season, Julie Andrews is back to lend her ever-iconic voice once again. The legendary actress even won a Primetime Emmy for outstanding character voice-over performance for the role last year, which she presumably added to her sizeable trophy collection; Andrews has won seven Golden Globes for her work in “The Sound of Music” and “Mary Poppins,” the latter of which she also won the Academy Award for best actress for. 

John Stirling, played by Victor Alli, made his first appearance in the Netflix series in season 3, where viewers saw the love story between him and Francesca Bridgerton. The last we saw of the couple, they were planning to move to Scotland after their upcoming nuptials. Alli’s previous credits include “Gangs of London,” “Andor” and “Belfast.” 

Masali Baduza returns to “Bridgerton” as Michaela Stirling, the cousin of Lord John Stirling. The South African actress, known for her performances in “The Woman King” and “Noughts and Crosses,” was first introduced in the Season 3 finale and is set to play a pivotal role in Season 4’s storyline with Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd). 

Hannah Dodd stars as Francesca Bridgerton (née Stirling), the quietly enigmatic sixth Bridgerton sibling who drew viewers in during Season 3 with her elegance and musicality. After stepping into the role following Ruby Stokes’ departure, Dodd has quickly made it her own. Beyond “Bridgerton,” the English actress has appeared in Netflix’s “Anatomy of a Scandal” and “Enola Holmes 2,” as well as Marvel’s “Eternals.” This year, she made her West End debut as Sally Bowles in the critically acclaimed revival of “Cabaret” at the Kit Kat Club, performing through September 2025.

Daniel Francis first captured hearts — particularly Violet Bridgerton’s — as Lord Marcus Anderson, the suave and charismatic newcomer whose arrival in Season 3 stirred curiosity and romance among the Ton. Introduced as the estranged brother of Lady Danbury, Francis has built a diverse career across stage and screen, with roles in Steve McQueen’s “Small Axe,” Netflix’s “Stay Close,” Apple TV+’s “Liaison,” and Amazon’s “The Wheel of Time,” before joining the Regency drama.

Martins Imhangbe continues his run as Will Mondrich, the bare‑knuckle boxer introduced in Season 1 whose evolving place in Regency society has made him a memorable presence in the Ton. Over the seasons, viewers have followed Will’s journey from pugilist to tavern owner and valued friend to the Bridgertons. The British‑Nigerian actor has appeared in television including the BBC mini‑series “Foresight” and on stage he’s earned acclaim for roles in “The Tragedy of King Richard II,” “Death of a Salesman,” “Othello” and “Between Riverside and Crazy,” among others.

Lady Danbury has been a fixture of the show since the first season of “Bridgerton” premiered in 2020. Played by Adjoa Andoh, the caring yet strategic Lady Danbury is a respected matriarch known for giving great advice, whether it’s to the Sharma sisters or one of her children. She’s also close friends with Queen Charlotte, a relationship viewers saw more of in the spin-off “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.” Andoh has also starred in projects including “Invictus,” “Fractured” and “The Red King,” amongst others.  

Lorraine Ashbourne plays Mrs. Varley in “Bridgerton,” the Featherington family’s steadfast housekeeper. She’s been a key character since Season 1, and while Mrs. Varley isn’t a lead, she’s become a fan-favorite. Outside of the “Bridgerton” universe, Ashbourne has been in a number of films and television shows, which include “King Kong,” “After the Flood,” “Riot Women,” “Sherwood” and more.  

Actress Michelle Mao will make her “Bridgerton” debut this season as Rosamund Li, Araminta’s harsh older daughter and one of Sophie’s stepsisters. A newcomer to London society, Rosamund will set her sight on snagging a suitor. Mao previously appeared in sci-fi film “Zi” and “A Big Beautiful Journey.”

Emma Naomi is back as Alice Mondrich, wife of Will Mondrich, a former boxer and club owner. Introduced in Season 1 as friends of Simon Basset, the Mondrichs were bestowed a title through their son in Season 3, changing their lives forever. Naomi previously appeared on the crime drama series “Professor T,” which won her a Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series at the 2022 National Film Awards. 

Hugh Sachs returns as Brimsley, the Queen’s gossip-mongering personal secretary and right-hand man. Sachs also appeared in the “Queen Charlotte” prequel series and previously starred as Gavin Ramsbottom in ITV sitcom “Benidorm.”

Polly Walker is back as Portia Featherington, a dowager baroness and matriarch of the Featherington family. In Season 3 viewers saw the Featherington family attempt to regain control of their finances and the sisters race to conceive an heir. Walker is best known for her work in historical drama television series “Rome,” for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination.

Isabella Wei will make her first appearance this season as Posy Li, Araminta’s younger, kinder daughter and one of Sophie’s stepsisters. The Hong Kong actress previously appeared in Netflix series “1899” and “Black Doves.”
