Off-White AW26 | Dazed

Taking place in the courtyard of a Parisian high school, Off-White’s AW26 show, “MR DAVIS”, paid tribute to the legendary jazz musician Miles Davis. In particular, creative director Ib Kamara drew inspiration from Davis’s 1973 album Bitches Brew, an innovative, kaleidoscopic blend of jazz, funk and rock which proved to be a turning point both in his own career (everything he released from that point on was a lot freakier) and the culture at large. When Kamara visited the Miles Davis archives, he was “ blown away not only by the musician’s legacy but by his unapologetic attitude and his incredible sense of style,” and wanted to approach this collection with a similarly genre-bending spirit.
