“Safe from the temptations of the world outside… and from the evil that lies within.” Netflix has unveiled a teaser trailer for a streaming series titled Unchosen, a psychological thriller set within a hidden Christian community. This cult thriller is about what happens to a young woman after the fateful arrival of an escaped prisoner into her life. Created & written by Julie Gearey, Unchosen will debut later 2026 as there’s no final release yet. “Welcome to the Fellowship of the Divine. Get to know your place.” The 6-episode thriller takes viewers behind the closed doors of a fictional conservative religious sect. Following Rosie, a devoted wife & mother who’s propelled into a dangerous journey of female emancipation & sexual awakening following a fateful encounter with escaped convict Sam, as played by Rebel Moon’s Fra Fee. The main cast includes Molly Windsor and Asa Butterfield, along with Christopher Eccleston, Siobhan Finneran, Rory Wilmot. This seems like it’s a bit more intriguing than just another story of a religious cult – worth a look.
