New Harry Potter Theatrical Experience Sets Premiere Date

For more than two decades, the Wizarding World has found new ways to bring fans back to Hogwarts. From theme parks to stage productions and streaming revivals, the story that started it all keeps reappearing in new formats for new generations. Now, the very first chapter of that journey is getting a particularly ambitious reimagining.

Cosm has announced that its Shared Reality production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone will premiere at the company’s immersive entertainment venues in Los Angeles and Dallas on Thursday, May 7, with tickets going on sale today through Cosm’s website and mobile app.

The new production is designed to place audiences directly inside the Wizarding World rather than simply watching it on a traditional screen. Created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures, Little Cinema, and MakeMake Entertainment, the experience reimagines the beloved film inside Cosm’s massive 87-foot-diameter 12K+ LED dome.

Released in 2001 and directed by Chris Columbus, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone introduced audiences to Harry Potter, a young boy who discovers he is a wizard and begins his journey at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Based on the novel by J. K. Rowling, the film launched what would become one of the most successful fantasy franchises in cinematic history.
