Ross will remain based in Chicago as the agency competes nationally against holding companies. For Ross, the appeal was returning to an independent structure where she could remain close to the work. “My sweet spot is working in that world where you’re still small enough to really have your handprint on the way we do business,” she said.
Bouma said she’ll measure Ross’s impact not just in revenue growth, but in client retention. “It’s about their satisfaction and happiness,” she said, “and showing consistency with growth at the same time.”
