“That moment is what we live for.” HBO Max has revealed the official trailer for an entertaining new sports documentary series called Born to Bowl 🎳, ready for streaming in March. They finally went and made a whole sports celebs series about pro bowlers. “They’ve got the balls for success.” Oh they certainly do! Liev Schreiber narrates this energetic new HBO Max doc series that follows 5 competitors on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour. From A24 and Executive Producer Ben Stiller comes the story behind the sport you thought you knew. It brings viewers inside the very colorful world of professional bowling, chronicling a handful of stars of the sport – Kyle Troup, Anthony Simonsen, EJ Tackett, Cameron Crowe, & Jason Belmonte – as they chase glory, respect, and much-needed prize money on the Professional Bowlers Association PBA Tour. With every strike, spare, and split of the season, BTB offers a humorous and heartfelt portrait of life on a professional sports tour that’s anything but straight down the lane. It looks surprisingly wild! Who knew bowling was so emotional? But for real, bowling is great and this looks like it’s a fun watch.

Every season, members of the PBA Tour travel from tournament to tournament with their balls in tow, fighting for victories from Akron to Reno, often needing to share budget hotel rooms along the way. At different stages of their careers, each man balances their ambition and love of the sport with the uncertainty of a profession built on week‑to‑week performance and earnings that often require them to take day jobs to make a living.
