BBC Studios has promoted Eve Frederick to executive vp production for its unscripted team based in Los Angeles.
Frederick, who has been with BBC Studios since 2018, will oversee a slate of productions that includes ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, Nat Geo’s Life Below Zero franchise, Netflix’s competition Outlast and Fox’s game show The 1% Club, among others. In her new role, she’ll report to BBC Studios president of unscripted Ryan O’Dowd.
“Eve is an exceptional leader and a driving force behind some of our most ambitious and successful unscripted productions,” O’Dowd said in a statement. “She combines tremendous instincts and operational excellence with empathy, rigor, and an unwavering commitment to both talent and crew. Her promotion reflects not only her remarkable track record, but the respect she’s earned across our teams, partners, and networks.”
Said Frederick, “I’m proud to step into this expanded role at a company that sets the standard for meaningful, global entertainment. The Los Angeles team has built something truly special, and we continue to expand our creative footprint in thrilling ways. I’m grateful to Ryan O’Dowd for the trust to lead our production teams, advance BBC Studios’ creative excellence, and at the end of the day, produce epic television.”
Frederick has taken a key role in making BBC Studios productions more environmentally responsible. Under her, Dancing With the Stars, The 1% Club and Celebrity Weakest Link have earned the Environmental Media Gold Seal Award for sustainable production.
Frederick joined BBC Studios in 2018 after working at Matador Content.
