EXCLUSIVE: Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo‘s JamPot Productions has found a CEO.
Former Novel, Amazon and Sky exec Craig Strachan has been appointed to lead the company, overseeing the business strategy and creative direction at the Great Company With Jamie Laing producer.
He’ll look to build out the company’s IP and create video and podcast formats, while bolstering JamPot’s position in the UK and international creator economies. The company is behind video podcasts such as Mad, Bad & Sad with Paloma Faith and Write Me Dirty with Katherine Ryan, and its founders, Laing and Habboo, host NearlyParents.
Strachan was most recently CEO of podcast company Novel and also led Amazon Music’s global podcasting business. Prior to that, he was Head of Marketing at Sky, overseeing brands such as Sky Sports and Sky Cinema.
The exec said he was joining JamPot at a “pivotal point in its journey,” adding, “The team has built an industry leading production company, rooted in creativity and authenticity, and I’m excited to help drive the next chapter of growth through innovative, talent-led storytelling that resonates with audiences.”
“JamPot has always been about nurturing brilliant talent and producing content that connects through heart, humour and honesty,” said Laing, the presenter and former reality TV star who founded JamPot with his now-wife Habboo in 2021. “Craig’s unparalleled experience across the global entertainment landscape makes him the perfect leader to guide JamPot in this pivotal next phase.”
Both Laing and Habboo and their production house are signed to UTA.
