Nike ACG Air Max Goadome ‘Taupe’ Release Date IU5915-200

Days after Nike’s revamped ACG Air Max Goadome Low surfaced in black leather, official product images now show a second colorway for the low-cut boot.

The Nike ACG Air Max Goadome Low will also be released in a Taupe/University Red/Black color combination as seen in the new e-commerce images. 

Rather than the total approach on the black leather pair, this Taupe iteration opts for a two-tone look, combining a wheat-colored nubuck upper with a black nubuck tongue and midsole. Like the black colorway, the Taupe pair features metallic silver eyelets and minimal Nike branding, with a small Swoosh logo appearing near the heel. The boot’s University Red accents appear only on the outsole and insole branding.

While the ACG Air Max Goadome has been a cult favorite since its debut in 2000, the boot has seen a resurgence in visibility this season. Nike released two pony hair-adorned styles of the boot, which added new lifestyle appeal, while collaborations with rappers Wale and Yeat helped build energy around the silhouette. Now, with a new low-top look on the horizon, the Goadome appears poised to carry into springtime and beyond.

The upcoming ACG Air Max Goadome Low isn’t the first time the boot has been released in low-cut form, but it does feature a new look. The mostly seamless design was previewed by Nike designer Frank Cooke last week before quickly appearing in this new Taupe-based style. The Taupe look is reminiscent of Nike’s staple Flax (aka wheat) Air Force 1 colorway as well as Timberland’s Premium 6-Inch wheat boots, although the upcoming ACG Air Max Goadome Low appears a bit darker. 

The Nike ACG Air Max Goadome Low is expected to debut this spring for a retail price of $175. The style code for this Taupe colorway is IU5915-200.
