Equinox’s New Year Campaign Undercuts AI Slop With Human Portraits

These Reels garnered some objections in the comments section, with one critic lamenting: “Nothing is more disappointing than a luxury brand resorting to AI.”

However, the brand soon posted a manifesto explaining the full campaign.

“It’s 2026. Truth is a moving target. Faces are filters. Politicians are deepfakes. Your feed overflows with AI slop,” it stated. “But in a world where almost everything can be faked, one thing still can’t be. You. Your body. Your strength. Your aliveness is an act of rebellion in an artificial world.”

The post added: “When nothing you can see can be trusted, there is only one thing left to do. Question everything but yourself.”
