EXCLUSIVE: Angel Studios today reported that its guild membership program has surpassed two million paying subscribers.
The Angel Guild is the faith-based studio’s grassroots membership program. Members pay dues and serve as virtual co-producers on every project from the studio. They are also given a say on which projects the studio pursues.
The studio said that it had achieved a 25% increase in membership growth since quarter-end to reach the milestone. The company had last reported surpassing one million members in March 2025.
Angel is coming hot off the release of the animated feature David. The film took $12.7 million in its second weekend and is pushing a $50 million cume on 3,000 screens. The film repped Angel’s best 3-day theatrical opening, surpassing Sound of Freedom and the highest faith-based animated opening, passing Angel’s The King of Kings and Prince of Egypt.
Since the beginning of the year, Angel has introduced 450 new films, shows, and specials to its platform. The company has also acquired several of its highest-performing franchises, including David, Tuttle Twins, Homestead, and The Wingfeather Saga.
Angel’s upcoming theatrical slate includes I Was A Stranger, a feature set against the backdrop of the Syrian Civil War; Solo Mio, a romantic comedy starring Kevin James, Kim Coates, and Alyson Hannigan; and Young Washington, a biopic starring Kelsey Grammer, Mary-Louise Parker, and Sir Ben Kingsley, with William Franklyn-Miller in the title role.
