“You need to face the idea of leaving this place!” Sky TV has revealed an official trailer for a crime thriller series titled Under Salt Marsh, ready for streaming in January 2026 only in the UK at first. Another new murder mystery, small town community series since there aren’t enough of them to watch already. A town fractured by an unspeakable crime. A storm threatening to wash away the evidence forever… A detective-turned-teacher investigates a shocking crime in her small town. Set in fictional Welsh town of Morfa Halen, a tight-knit community precariously nestled between towering mountains and a fast-encroaching sea that threatens its very existence. As a massive storm approaches, she must work with her estranged ex to solve the case before all of the evidence disappears. Starring Kelly Reilly as Jackie Ellis and Rafe Spall as Det. Bull, along with Naomi Yang, Jonathan Pryce, Dinita Gohil, Brian Gleeson, Kimberley Nixon, Mark Stanley, Dino Fetscher, Harry Lawtey. According to Sky, Under Salt Marsh blends atmospheric crime storytelling with a deeply human portrait of resilience and community. This big storm looks intense.
