NBC's Underrated Crime Drama That Was Cancelled Too Soon Finds a New Streaming Home

Gabi Mosley’s (Shanola Hampton) exploits came to a screeching halt earlier this year when NBC cancelled Found after two seasons. The 2023 crime thriller was a hit with viewers and critics, but a combination of slightly declining ratings and the network’s desire to cut back on scripted programming led to the show’s cancellation. But like the people Gabi and her team give a second chance in life, Found has found its second chance. All seasons of the show will be available to stream on Netflix from January 2, 2026. The streaming service has not expressed any desire to continue the series, but shows have been known to find a new life once they hit the world’s number one streaming service.

Found was created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll and starred Hampton as Gabi Mosley, a PR and crisis manager who finds missing people. She runs a firm with her capable team, which consists of people who were lost and found at some point, or who have lost someone. Gabi is celebrated by many for her dedication to seeking those who slip through the cracks, but would they continue to love her once they know the secret she keeps locked in her basement? When the show starts, it is revealed that Gabi is holding the man who kidnapped her hostage, and uses his knowledge to find other missing people. The show explores this moral grey area as Gabi and her hostage battle for control and superiority. Other cast members include Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Hugh “Sir” Evans), Kelli Williams (Margaret Reed), Brett Dalton (Detective Mark Trent), Gabrielle Walsh (Lacey Quinn), Arlen Escarpeta (Zeke Wallace), and Karan Oberoi (Dhan Rana).

Will There Be Season 3 of ‘Found?’

Following the end of the show’s NBC run, its lead studio, Warner Bros Television, planned to shop it around in the hopes of finding a new home. However, that process did not bear any fruit, with TV Line reporting that the show was no longer being shopped. This Netflix development provides a glimmer of hope for fans who will never know how Mosley and Associates’ story played out. If lucky enough to experience the Netflix effect, the show could see a comeback — that’s if the actors haven’t booked other jobs. Found Season 3 would have explored the other characters’ backstories, filling the gaps on how they came to find themselves in their present circumstances.
